WPC Members,
Please join us for our February 4th meeting focused on the “State of Food in New Orleans” we will be discussing food insecurity, the status, and role of urban farms in New Orleans, how poverty can affect diet, and resources for a healthier New Orleans.
Kristine Creveling, Senior Food Manager at Propeller will moderate a panel with Laurenmarie Reyes, Director of Development at Top Box Foods – New Orleans, Marianne Cufone, Founder of Recirculating Farms, and Loyola law professor, and Devon Turner, Executive Director of Grow Dat Youth Farm.
The meeting will be held at Bar Frances (4525 Freret St, New Orleans, LA 70115) with networking and cash bar beginning at 5:30 and the program beginning at 6 pm. Guest fees are $45 and please note that you will be checking in with Yvonne Lapre as Karen will be out of town. There is street parking on Freret and a paid lot at Freret and Cadiz.
