Event Description:
The dinner meeting was at the Ruby Slipper in the Marigny. We celebrated membership month with a literary panel. Our guest speakers included: Susan Larson, Host of WWNO/NPR ‘The Reading Life’ and author of The Book Lover’s Guide to New Orleans; Tony Dunbar, local author of the Tubby Dubonnet series, which includes his most recent book The Night Watchman; and Sybil Morial, educator, activist and community leader and author of Witness to Change: From Jim Crow to Political Empowerment
